Ok...About 3 years ago I had a filling fall out of a molar on my bottem left side. Well I waited a few days before going to the dentist and the tooth broke. I got to the dentist and had the tooth pulled. All was fine and dandy, no problems. Well the gum never healed, there is a slit still in my gum where the tooth was extracted, and there has been some sort of infection. I have had a real little bit of pus coming out of the slit and now ( all these years later :nono: ) the gum is swollen on the outer side and filled with even more pus and a little trace of blood. Doesnt really hurt though, just feeling of fullness and the bottem of my jaw under the tooth has felt bruised. I am going to make an appointment ASAP..........I am so embarassed that I had waited this long....I feel like such an idiot. Does anyone know what this could be? I can't beleive I had waited for it to get so bad!!! I dont have dental insurance and unfortunately I have been very tight on money the past few years, so that is my reasoning. If it was an absess, wouldn't it hurt more? Can this get into my blood stream and effect my health?? How about causeing some kind of autoimmune disorder?
