Summer is coming up and I want to feel great in a 2 piece bathing suit but I want to get rid of most of the hair "down there." I don't feel comfortable going to a salon where they wax it off for you.. I will probably eventually like when I'm older. But for now, I'd rather do it myself!

Can someone PLEASE recommend waxing kits that ACTUALLY work? I've boughten one before that comes with the sticky wax but that was just messy and didn't work. I haven't boughten any other kind before.. How about those strips that already have the stuff on them and you just rip off?

These kits can cost anywhere from $5 to $20 so I want to buy a brand that someone KNOWS works for down there.. instead of me just wasiting money and testing a bunch of brands...

Please don't just read this and not reply! Please Help!!!! :)
Thank you!
Liz

To be honest I have never found a waxing system that was very good. They are always messy and well hurt like hell. Instead I use "veet". This is like "nair" but not as harsh. If you follow the directions and leave it on for the specified time then hop in the shower it works great. They have one for sensitive skin and I would always reccomend that one. You just wipe it off. Hope this helps.

I have used the wax strips, but not for my bikini line--for unwanted facial hair (eyebrows, upper lip hair, etc.). And they work good, but the hair "down there" is so much more coarse, I'm really not sure if it would as good a job. To be honest--I just cannot imagine the pain that would put me through! I waxed my legs once, and will never do it again. It was too much pain, and that hair could've been removed in a painless way, so why bother? That's just me though--I think I have a low pain tolerance. So anyways, I would agree with jakcpk--spending your money on something you know will work might be wiser. Good luck!

I use to get waxed, but am starting the series of laser hair removal. It's expensive, so if you don't go that route, then I would just be brave and go to a day spa and get the bikini wax from a professional. I've tried a lot of stuff off the shelf and it's too hard and messy. Just think of it this way.....you don't have anything different down there than anyone else and the bikini wax lady isn't looking you over. Also, you could really hurt yourself trying to do it yourself! Be careful!!
