I have been on yasmin for a couple weeks now. I have noticed a dramatic increase in my appetite. If I don't eat I feel sick so I can't control myself. I am afraid this pill is going to make me gain weight. Has anyone else felt hungry all the time or am I imagining things?

I never noticed that when I was on yasmin. I only switched due to insurance not covering it back then. I have gained weight on everything relating to BC.

thanks for the replies. I talked to my friend who is on yasmin yesterday and she said it has had the opposite effect on her. She has lost her appitite, therfor lost weight. Of course its gotta be the opposite for me right :rolleyes:

Ahh! I hate all of this birth control weight gain stuff. I orginally was on ortho-tri. I lost weight! Then I went off of it, and my face got horrible. I decided to go back on it and gained about 10 lbs. Now I'm on Alesse, but my face breaks out cause it's a low dose pill. I've heard soo many things about Yasmin-some said it makes you lose weight and I know it clears your face. I have a pack of it to try, I'm just weary of switching since I don't want any side effects. Alesse is great for me, it just hasn't cleared my face!

Oh my this seems to be a trend, I was on Ortho Tri Cyclen and boy was I hungry like a beast ALL the time and never satisfied even when I ate! You've to use shear jedi mind control not to over eat and you still feel miserable because you just never feel full, I used to think that it was me then I started checking around on different boards and it seems to be across the board, these horomones sometimes wreck havoc on the body! ugh!! And lets not talk about weight gain and stubborn weight loss.

Nuva ring made my face break out too when I used to have clear skin. Maybe cuz its low dose hormones too? How come you lost weight on the ortho got off it, and when you got back on you gained 10 lb! Makes no sense to me! Seems to me like there is no such thing as the perfect birth control.
