I've been in extreme pain in my throat/jaw/ear/teeth areas now for many weeks. I'm going nuts & don't know how much more I can take. I've been taking Ibuprofen & Acetametaphen as often as I'm allowed BUT now I must have 2 medical procedures that will prevent me from taking these meds and tonight I'm hurting sooooooooo very badly.
Does anyone know of any home remedies that will work for this? :dizzy:
Any suggestions will be very appreciated as I'm dying here, Thanks, Grace

Make sure you do not have an infection or an absessed tooth like I have/had. Im just getting rid of it now through intravenous antiobiotics...i Pre-diagnosed myself as having TMJ until one of my 5 dentists ive been working with finally pressed hard enough on my swollen jaw to produce puss. (YUCK)!....i had to get to an ENT right away and should be rid of this mess soon enough...but please dont wait to find out too late...I almost did!

If I were you I'd go to an ear, nose and throat specialist as soon as you can to see what's going on

For heavens sake, Grace! Why would you put up with excruciating pain for weeks? Get yourself to a dentist or ENT asap.

...maybe she can't afford it...:(
If mine keep up i'll be in a bind like that, too (just praying they calm down as my dentist says they will)

Thank you all very much for responding. I'm currently unemployed with no way to pay the dentist or TMJ specialist. I know it's one or the other as a dentist diagnosed me with TMJ back in 1976 but it didn't bother me then. I have Medicaid but it doesn't cover those doc's and an ENT doesn't work on those issues. So, yes, I'm stuck until I can find a way to pay for it. That's why I was trying to find some at home remedy (hot/cold compresses etc.)
Currently I'm only able to take Tylenol 1300 mg every 8 hours because I had to have an Endoscopy (where they stick the tube down your throat to see if you have ulcers... etc... which I already have Reflux). And unfortunately I have to have the colonoscopy too in a few weeks and must stay off all narcotic pain killers even Motrin or Aleve types. So I'm pretty much gonna still be in pain and praying that I don't abcess so I don't become infected. :(
Thanks again everyone, Grace
