I get annoyed over the most mundane things, low on patience and tolerance with other people and myself. Although I'm aware that I need to unravel the reasons, sometimes it overwhelms me as to where to start.
I've heard time and time again that people that meditate take such a turn in their lives and perceptions, for the better, becoming calm and centered and happy. Has anyone tried meditation long enough to confirm this? Thx, Anna

I have not tried to meditate, but have been wanting to. I tried yoga (but that just iritated and made me more mad!) Pilaties has helped me though, and I have been able to calm down some. Let me know if you try!

i meditate althou not as often as i would like, my kids always seem to need something or other, i also listen to self hypnosis tapes at night on meditation and astral travel and spiritual awakening and i can honestly say as a mom with 4 kids i am pretty patient ,even in the car other peoples driving does not bother me ,i also do yoga,, my husband on the other hand does not do yoga or meditate and he gets sooo mad over the smallest things, i think he is the only person that really gets me upset, and its just because he gets so mad at stuff,

I have a bad temper, but when I meditate, I keep my calm for a very long time. Meditating works, it brings peace, it brings me peace.

I have not especially tried meditation for my anger. I'm so completely out of control, nothing can really calm me down it seems. I don't think it would work in the heat of the moment, but I'll definately try it and see if the peaceful feeling carries over for extended periods of time.

Meditation can help with stress, anger, physical problems and I've taken a meditation class where you learn to breathe and relax and focus. There are videos you can get on meditation and sometimes if you can take 15 minutes a day, once you learn how to do it, it's like taking a little vacation from all your problems. There's also lots of books and info about it on the internet. I have a son that is 26 and he get's riled up over traffic, job, etc. He started meditating 15 minutes twice a day w/headphones on relaxation tapes and he said it has literally changed his life. He ain't sweating the small stuff anymore. Give it a try. Good luck.
