Hi Drea,
Just wondering how you are feeling. I've had a couple of good days, but im always waiting for it to happen again, so even on my good days, i'm worried. I seen your ? about allergy shots. Have you found out anything about them? I need to go get tested for allergies myself. I guess you have to go to an allergist for that, right? Thanks for any info. Hope you are having a "good" day!!! :)

Hi Deena,
I have had a couple of alright days myself. The really opressive, can't get anything done fog has lifted for a bit, which is good because I am in the middle of exams at school. Allergy testing is probably a good idea. I see my allergist in two weeks and he is really pushing for allergy shots. If this "fog" is allergy related, it is sort of my only chance at relief as antihistamines do nothing. It stinks though, because they take years to work and I really don't want to feel like this for another year or more.

I still think your best bet at finding out what is going on is with a neuro-otolgoist, especially because of your hearing loss. I don't think allergies can do that, but inner ear problems definatly can. I'm back in to see the ENT in a few weeks for more tests. I have my fingers crossed that they turn something up, but from what I have read, even if there is nerve damage, the tests don't always pick up on it. I'm also going to see a chiropractor and an accupuncturist. So basically I am spending the next two weeks trying to muster up the brain power to pass my exams, and then I go home to bounce from one doctor to another.

I'll be sure to let you know if anybody finds anything.... and how to fix it.

Best
A

p.s. i know its hard, but just try to relax and enjoy your good days. The fog comes and goes, you can't really control it, but you can make the most of the days and hours it lets up. And stay positive. I know there is a cause for this and a cure, I just need to find it. But I know I will, and you will too. :-)
