I have been experiencing sharp pain in my left hip for a few months now. It comes and goes at the oddest times. Sometimes I can just be sitting and I will get a very sharp pain that radiates down my leg. I have not seen a doctor yet, but I am curious if anyone else has had this problem and what was done about it. I do not have any back pain associated with this. I would appreciate any advice!!!

Sorry for the time to respond - been away from the boards awhile.
Yes - it is time for you to see the doctor. Hip pain should always be checked into by an orthopedic doctor. There is so many causes so it would be hard to tell you what I think at this point.
Xrays would be your starting point and then if something is spotted onto a CT or MRI for diagnosis.
