Hi.
Does anybody experience stabbing intermittent pains in their arms and legs? This can happen in my bicep, tricep, elbow, forearm, wrist and back of hands. In my legs it is my thighs, knees and shins. It is such a deep pain and it seems to move around my body sometimes only lasting a minute but is very painful. I have shoulder and neck pain as well and have spots on my body that really hurt to apply pressure. If this is familiar to anybody...please let me know I really need to know as it scares me as to what is going on.
Thank you so very much....L

relax sweetie. it has been happening to me for more than 10 years. you get used to it. it is frightening at first. after about the thousandth time you yawn and say, oh yea. then you chill till it passes. what i always was and am grateful for is the fact that it only lasts a few minutes. it is so intense. like a hot knife with a very sharp point.
remember when it happens to breath slow and deep. holding your breath does not help, giggle, i tried that alot too! tee hee. of course passing out does make one forget the pain, giggles.
peace,

Thank you so much for responding Bluelake . I have never been diagnosed with Fibro but after researching I have to wonder if this is what I am experiencing. I have had a stressful winter and this started at this time. However, I also believe I am entering peri menopause and can't differentiate what symptoms are what. These pains are soo deep and seem to come out of no where and feel more like the bones than muscular. When the pain happens I can almost point to the spot so its not like it is a whole area hurting. It also seems to travel in a line down my arm??? Again...I thank you so for taking time to answer my post. I have 3 children and a senior ( and my hubby) and I have been so preoccupied with this that they have to suffering as I am in my own little world......Lesley

hi lesley,
i am post meno! i went thru the peri phase right after fms diagnosis. now that i am post i still have the pain. i hear you on the pain in the bones and being able to point to the spot. i accepted that my body makes no sense and have learned to laugh my way thru rubbing the hurting spots. laughter is my best friend, and i am my own personal source of much humor. i do so many wierd silly things.
i am in san diego helping my sis take care of our mom. she get's out of the hospital today. i will be off the boards for a bit, so you hang in there, and i will be back in a couple of days. there is a huge long post about "my mom" if you are curious.
my kids are out winging it on their own. in fact i am going to be a grandmother for the 7th time! my daughter jackie is expecting her first. she is 26. i am also single.
i live in a small community on a tiny lake in the mountains in northern california. i have been here in cityworld for more than 5 weeks, i think. hoping to get back home in the next 2 or 3 weeks.
tie knots in your coping rope and make a swing. your family can come here and read too. we are happy to help educate family members, help them find their compassion and patience with you. it is hard on you and them. there is a post somewhere that i wrote awhile back. it is titled "i witness your words". perhaps you may find that comforting.
peace little girlfriend, peace,

I have been getting a lot of pain in my wrist, elbow an hand, in fact now have pain in the side of my hand going into my little finger, this is new. My Dr. claims this arm pain is cervical related, but I have no idea, I am going for a MRI of my neck. I had a MRi done about 10 years ago and they found bulging disc, arthritis and a small herniation so the DR. wants to ee what this all look like now, probably a mess.

hugs, Linda
