I had a 5 level laminectomy about 15 months ago and had all sorts of weird sensations in the months that followed. Were you fused? I was not which I think is kind of unusual. I experienced numbness, tingling, a feeling of 'buzzing' (for lack of a better word) in my legs, random sharp pains in calves. Most have resolved but there are a few that remain. Both of my hands still fall asleep when I sleep. I try not to dwell on the sensations now...but i do think it is important to talk to your surgeon as often as you feel you need to. It can feel really scary to not know if something is going wrong or if it is normal. I live in Alaska and I sometimes feel really isolated. I have used this healthboard a lot just to help me be in contact with others in the same boat!
Good luck to you...you will feel better soon!

AKGirl:

You're in pretty good spirits for a 4 level laminectomy!

Keep up the good work! :)
