Can anyone recommend positions to lay in while in a tanning bed so that I get an even tan? I just started going today, and this is my first time ever. I tanned for 10 minutes, 3 minutes on back and stomach and 2 on each side. I just need to know how to lay in order to prevent white creases and things like that.

Im still new to this myself ive only gone about 5 or 6 times now. But I did post on here as well, and i had somebody response and say they lift their arms while they are in there to get their armpits and stuff and then the last couple minutes open the bed and sit on the edge to get the creases under you bum.
I've been just laying on my back and seperating my knees so none of the skin touchs inbetween. I put my arms up for half the time i either hold them right up the to the top of the tanning bed or i rest them over my face, i dont roll around or use side stuff?
I also put my legs up (like bend the knee and have my feet on the bottom of the bed i figured that might prevent the creases under my bum from staying white and so far that is working for me.

I tan for 15 minutes. For half that time, I lay on my back with my arms down, and then I flip over to my stomach and lay with my arms up on the head pillow, underarms exposed. I have no tan lines. :cool:

Thank you for the info! That will help me a lot. Does it even do anything to lay on your sides? If not, I won't waste my time with it. But thanks anyways for the suggestions, I'll definitely try them!

Also, how long should I wait after my tanning session before I take a shower? I've looked it up on the internet and only found a couple of sites; one said 2-4 hours, and the other said 8-12. How long do you wait before showering?

The beds at my tanning salon tan you 360, so you dont have to lay on your sides or stomach. I just have to keep my arms down for half the time and the other time up; so under my arms will tan. Try using a stand up tanning booth, I heard that they leave no tan lines.

I tan for 20 minutes.. The first ten on my back with my arms down at my sides, the last ten on my stomach with my arms up and crossed behind my head.. my tan is pretty even now.. lost that white circle on my tailbone and under the butt lines.

I alternate the traditional beds with standup units.
