Hmmmmmmmmmm ... just thought I would share MIL's language today.

We went and visited FIL at hospital. (who, might I add, is very grateful he bit the bullet yesterday and admitted himself, he's VERY fragile today) I also have my Happy Birthday 10 year old (LOL) sitting at home sniffling, coughing and sneezing....

That's what happens when you sleep in a tent in the backyard with a friend and refuse to close the tent door........... but anyway ....... I digress .. as usual ......... *chuckle*

When I said "Well, we had better go home and see how Bri is" MIL said:

"wha wha, round, thra, threy, swa swa, fizingle round and round"

FIL and I looked at each other. "uh huh ~ really?" we said. MIL said:

"Oh yes .. well wheelie wang, thraw three, wha wha that there"

So I took a stab in the dark and said "do you want to go to the supermarket"

and she looked at me like I was a complete idiot and said "well OF COURSE"

Well ....... she had probably just told me eh?

Anyway .. it's a bit of a giggle sometimes, when you get her kind of language and we have to play 20 questions to figure out something. LOL LOL

Sally,
I completely understand. In my case, my grandmother reverts to speaking Italian and unfortunately I have no clue what she is talking about, thankfully my mom speaks a little Italian and understands most of what she is saying. We always have to remind my grandmother to speak English.
