Why am I so out of control today?!?!

Breakfast: apple, grande nonfat latte from starbucks
lunch: quiznos regular sub with turkey, lettuce, tomatoe, and honey french dressing
Snack: orange, 2 mini reeses, 4 pieces licorice
Dinner: Baked bell pepper stuffed with ground turkey and brown rice, salad with beets, tomatoes, corn and light dressing
Dessert: Banana and peanut butter (2 or 3 tbsp)

I think it's the banana and peanut butter that is really bothering me. I ate it at 10pm. I just REALLY wanted it. I feel like I've been craving peanut butter for a really long time and just not letting myself indulge - so I finally just DID.

I don't think what you ate sounds the LEAST bit out of control.

I think it's your breakfast. Coffee can raise your blood glucose and cause cravings, and you don't have any fat in it which also causes a quick rise and crash- and doesn't leave you satiated. The apple is healthy carbs, but nothing else in it. I'd suggest that you eat a breakfast with some protein in it and some poly or monounsaturated fats. That will put you on the right path for the day.

LS289, you need to stop worrying so much. This is already your second thread where you feel guilty over what you ate. Sure, you could have made some better choices but what's done is done. Just think about things before you try them. Ask yourself, is this sweet is really worth it? More often than not you'll find the answer to be no. It's obvious that you have cravings like we all do. Why not eat cleanly the entire week then allow yourself a cheat meal once a week? Have WHATEVER it is you desire with no guilt. Think of this as your reward for all the hard work you put in.

I think the problem is that I don't have a hard time saying "no" to chocolate and treats, but that is why I am (too) thin. I want to find a healthy balance. After lunch if I want to eat some peanut m and ms, should I just eat them? Because right now I am supposed to be gaining weight, I guess, but at the same time I don't know if I want to. And if I eat m and ms this time, what is going to stop me from doing it every single time? I can't decide if something is a head craving, a body craving, or if I should just not even think about it and just give in!!?!?

I know I express a lot of anxiety around food - I can't help it.

My suggestion to you is to go and speak with a nutritionist. They can give you answers (the right ones) to all of your questions. They can also guide you and help with your food complex. When you worry about every morsel of food you eat you are only leading yourself down a wrong path. There is a HUGE diffrence in watching what eat so you consume a balanced diet and OBSESSING. Good luck.

to that seems to be a lot of sugar.. the carbs and everything and the coffee is maybe not such a good mixture.

What is better - a breakfast such as eggs and toast or something "salty" or a breakfast such as fruit, cottage cheese, and cereal that is "sweet"? I used to eat egg beaters and cottage cheese every single morning, and then I got burnt out on it. So now I eat cottage cheese with fruit and cereal almost every morning because that is what I feel like. Which alternative is better? Or are they both the same pretty much?
