My 21 year old daughter has just been diagnosed with myelofibrosis. Our diagnosing doctor was not encouraging with regard to the prognosis, suggesting that we had only 5-10 years with therapy. He further suggested that the current therapys were at best, poor! However, my daughter is young, and in otherwise good health. I am hopefull that a bone marrow transplant may be a possibility that hold promise. Does anyone have any experience with this disease and the use of bone marrow transplant therapy?
I am also curious if there has been any possitive results from either interferon or cor cell therapies?
Your help would surely be appreciated!
