View Full Version : soy sauce and sodium

I've been on a major stir fry kick lately, as it seems that others have to by looking at the boards, and I usually use soy sauce for flavor. I am starting to get kindof weirded out about it though because of the high amts of sodium, and I am retaining an awful lot of water.
Does anyone know of an alternative? Do they make soy sauce with lower sodium? I've honestly never looked. Or is there a particular brand that is healthier than an other?

kikkoman low sodium soy sauce!! Its all I use because I also retain water easily ...Ive tasted many different brands and this one is the absolute best! You'll never miss the sodium!

Use Pam. It's the easiest and healthiest thing to fry anything with.

I agree with coolgirl, the KIKKOMAN low sodium (green cap) is even tastier than the regular and has half the salt (but still enough not to drown any stir fry in it!)
