this isnt a question really, just more of a comment.
ive gotten the impression from the media/advertisements that lower estrogen in birth control is better. but last month i started with the nuvaring, as far as i know it has the lowest dose ive seen, 15 mcg/day (estrogen). and i had every sort of common side effect in the 1st month, though, they were all mild: headaches, spotting, moodiness, nausea, breast swelling, leg cramps. I stopped the ring because i didnt like the thing being physically in me, it slipped down a few times too. too much of a hassle for me.
so this month i started with ortho tricyclen lo, which has 25 mcg/day of estrogen, and i havent had a single side effect. in fact, my period, which was heavy after using the ring that one month, stopped immediately the day of my first OTC lo pill, and i havent had any spotting at all. (needless to say i was very happy).
now, its not scientifically correct to say from this experience that lower estrogen was better, since they have different progestins. but i was wondering if there was a lower limit on the estrogen.
