Hi, I'm on this drug for life and want to know if there is any long term problems with this drug? I take 5mg of Coumadin a day.

jon, a couple of things, one is to watch your sun exposure it can cause sun sickness and you will burn easier. also watch what you eat and keep an even intake of food. if you take o.j. in the morning just keep taking it in the mornig, keep a habit, that way you wont throw your i.n.r 's off by binging on one thing you like. like broccoli or green leafy veggies. also watch over the counter meds for aspirin ingredients. remember to check your levels and if you notice anythng unusual tell your medical team. also dental workers like to know what your levels are before they work on you.

Hello, My blood is 3.0 INR and I seen a post somewhere on the net that long term coumadin could have problems in the long run is this true? I have no family history of blood clots and broken bones and anything to cause this. Only thing that happened with me was I was bitten by my dog on the right leg and the dog was playing and didn't bite hard. I wounder if that caused this problem?
