Hi,
Has anyone had an experience with nerve block shots two years post knee replacement for someone with continuing pain and stiffness?

Thanks a million.

Hi Sue, Sorry I have never had nerve block shots for either of my knee replacements. The first one was 3 years ago, the second one was a year ago and then 2 months ago I had the second one bottom end replaced because it was loose. The pain before the surgeries was really bad and I was on lots of morphine but now I take nothing. This knee bends to 115 degrees. I have to be careful and not weight bare yet but it’s coming along. I am looking forward to the day when I can walk like I used too. Is there nothing your doctor can do for you??? Has he taken x-rays to make sure it isn’t loose ??? My doctor aspirated my knee 2 times and had x-rays every month until he could see the lifting of the lower half. It still took a year before he would finally redo it. Good luck Vaerie-Jean

Sounds like you have got some big problems. There shouldn't be any pain after about a year. I'm having problems with my old knee done 11 years ago. My doctor thinks it is the plastic breaking down and coming into bits and peaces. We are going to have to replace the plastic soon.
