I just wanted to know what are the signs of blood clots and how do you know when you have one??

i developed clot in my leg last year. painful, stiff, swollen, warm, tight leg.

as xolynnyxo describes, that's how blood clot would feel.
if your body is producing blood clots, and it gets to your leg the pain would be something like a sharp one. i know this because my mother suffered from them frequently. i didn't know at the time that her pain was caused by those clots. eventually a clot got to her brain and gave her a massive stroke from which she wouldn't recover.
if you have good reason to believe you're dealing with clots, or even if you suspect it, i would suggest doing something about it. it's more urgent than you think.

A blood clot in your lung can cause a sharp knife like pain upon inspiration, elevated heart rate and shortness of breath.
