Looking for information on excessive Factor VIII production causing abnormal clotting of the blood. Subject is 41 year old female, good health. 11/02 Full hysterectomy. Nothing abnormal post-op. Within 1-2 months subject developed a Pulmonary Embolism and was admitted to Local medical center. Lovenox (enoxaparin sodium) Injections were administered bi-daily while admitted and once daily post-release. Subject was moved to coumadin (lower dosage). Within 2 months of this, the subject again experienced Pulmonary Embolisms (Plural, 4 total I believe). Subject was again admitted and given Lovenox injections before being released and increasing coumadin intake. According to specialists involved with the subject, the only abnormalcy found during extensive blood testing was a high level of F VIII. The subject has become quite frustrated with the current situation, being that none of the specialists can offer an explaination or resolution to her current problem.

I'll do that.

I thought Hemophilia was the opposite of subjects symptoms, an abscense of/abnormally low level of Factor VIII?

It is not hemophilia. She needs to be on Coumadin for the rest of her life. That is the only thing that will help prevent more emboli. There is no decreasing her level of Factor VIII, it is caused by a gene mutation.
