View Full Version : Going to dermatologist

I'm going to the dermatologist soon for a full body check. I have gone to three different dermatologists in the past and it when I mention a full body check they look at me like I'm crazy. Is this an uncommon thing to do? I have had way too many sunburns in the past and would just like to be checked for any abnormalties. It seems that they want me to point out the moles I'm concerned about and I usually end up forgetting some and later feel unsatisfied that they did not check everything. Is there a way to go about it to let him know I want him to go over every single mole on my body? This is what they are supposed to do, right?

Yes, you are right. That is what they are suppose to do . I have lots of moles, and I go every 6 months for full body check-up. My dermatologist is looking everywhere. But it was not easy to find her. i went through lot of them as wel. Please keep searching for the one that does full body check-up very responsibly and you will feel comfortable with him/her as as well. this is very omportant matter, and because non-respondible dermatologist like is yours melanoma may be overlook, and melanoma is nothing to play with.
