I have been on Estrostep for at least 6 months or more. No problem but recently I have missed my period for the past three months. No, I am not pregnant. I go on my placebos but no period. Mt ob/gyn doesn't see too concerned but I never really had this happen before except when I was on Depo shots years and years ago. Anyone else on Estrostep and expereince this? Thanks. :confused: :confused:

oh boy do i wish! i've been on estrostep for 2 months & i've had a whole 12 days free of bleeding! i guess if your dr is not too concerned it shouldnt be a problem. i keep seeing posts about very light periods or skipped periods on estrostep. can i ask though....how were the 1st few months for you? did you have a lot of breakthrough bleeding? i am getting so fed up with this...my dr says i should stick it out another month but if i want she will switch my pill now. i'm not quite sure what i should do. aside from the bleeding & the cramping i'm getting with it (not nearly as bad as my usual cramping) & the sore boobs, i feel fine.

I'm not on Estrostep (actually I was in the past and my periods were pretty light) but I am on Microgestin and since I started taking it 4 months ago, my periods have disappeared. The first 2 months i had light spotting and the past 2, nothing. I am going to check with my doctor but from what I read, it is a pretty normal occurence.

I had the same thing with Estrostep, the first few months irregular bleeding ( bleeding after the week of plecebos when I would be starting a new pack) and now I don't get it at all. Hmmmm, it can really stink being a girl sometimes......

Sharonlynn,
I'm so happy I saw your post because I was starting to think a pregnancy test might be in order. My last period was so light that I wouldn't have even known I had it if not for the spots on the tampons. I was however, very irritable and I noticed a little light-headedness and nausea in the beginning of my period week. I've been on Estrostep for a little over 3 months and I also had the break through bleeding. I'm hoping things will get a little more regular now that I'm past the 3 month introduction period. I hope this post helps you too Allison and that you decided to stick it out. Thanks Ladies! :)

I've been on Estrosep for about 6 months now and although my period has been lighter, i've never experienced a month of not having any. I guess it affects people differently. As long as your doctor is not concerned, I think you're ok.

I've been on Estrostep for 2 years straight. For the 1st few months I did get breakthrough bleeding, but after that my period came like clockwork on that tuesday after taking the pills. My periods have become almost non existent & i posted on here about it, but supposedly its normal. A lot of times I was so scared I was pregnant, but never was.

Thank God I found this thread!
I've been on Estrostep for about 7 or 8 months now and I have absolutely loved it...my periods have come like clockwork and my period has been so light. I would have 7 day heavy bleeding on Othro tricyclen and would have heavy mood swings (crying). Now I only have 3 days of "last-day" bleeding and I only have very little cramps the 2 days before.
However...this last cycle...my boyfriend left to live back home in Italy and I had about 5 pills left when he left. I forgot to take one the next day, but then doubled up the following day. Then I had three days left and just didn't take them. Well, I wish I would have because I missed my period. I have been freaking out. I waited the normal week and then started my pills again, as I'm supposed to, but I'm SO scared that I'm pregnant.
Hearing about all the breast pain helped me a lot because I've been having that a lot and I was thinking that it was a sign of pregnancy.
My bf and I used condoms all the time and I took the pill every day at about the same time (9-11am). The only time we didn't use a condom was in the period week that I should have had my period and wasn't taking the active pills. Since my period is only 3 days...that leaves 4 days of not taking the pill but still having a possiblity of having sex.
Anyway...I'm still all freaking out. I've taken my pills every day when I wake up and now I just have 6 more pills in the pack. I know that since my lining is thin. {removed}
Anyway...your advice on the missed period helped, as well as the breast pain...but I just need to see blood when I'm supposed to get my period, especially when I have been having sex, you know what I mean?
