ALL pills have the POTENTIAL to cause weight gain. This doesn't mean that it will definately happen, but means that it COULD happen.

Yasmin is the only pill that is "weight neutral" because one of the hormones acts as a diuretic, and helps keep water weight off.

As far as weight control, consider changing your diet and exercise before switching from one pill to another.

thats for your concern about the weight loss, the thing is for the past two months i have eaten right and have gone to the gym everyother day for 2 hours and i was losing weight 18 pounds then i got my 1st injection and gained 15 pounds in 2 weeks its not like i am sitting on the couch eating potato chips, i can't seem to lose the weight ever since i took that injection so i know it is the Depo, i am trying to "flush" it out of my system with drinking alot of water, ortho mcneill's website recommended that for faster results, so hopefully that works!!!!!! but i will ask my doctor about Yasmin thanks

Sorry I don't think that there is a birth control pill out there to help you LOSE weight, they'll only help gain it. I did hear that Yasmin will help to keep you neutral or won't make it as difficult to lose but hey, everyone is different. Horomones seem to be horomones and all they do is mess with your body and emotions and everything else. If you've the weddings, I'd suggest coming off for a while but that all depends on your situation and why you need the pill.

Depo is pretty famous for large amounts of weight gain; that's actually the reason most people quit.

except I didn't gain any weight on the depo, but blew up like a friggin' balloon on the pill. 15 pounds in less than two months. I am off it now and praying that my weight will drop back to normal as I am working out too to help. (and managing my intake of food etc...)

well i am not taking my next injection, because i feel horrible on the Depo bad back pain, never had before , i am completely mean to my loving caring boyfriend, and i hate feeling this way, i am going to take your advice and not take anything until after the weddings and after i lose the weight and i think i will try that yasmin pill, so far that seems to maybe be my best bet, thanks for everyones advice, and the reason why i am on it was b/c i was on ortho tri cyclen but i got pregnant on that, and we don't want another baby until 2 years from now, so i am sure we can manage:) thanks guys! :)

Supposedly there are as many women who lose weight as women who gain weight... so they say...

I've stayed the same weight in the 3 months I've been on Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo.
