I'm a 20 year old female and I get these strangely long individual hairs that grow out of this spot on my cheek and sometimes on my chest. My immediate family gets them every once in a while as well, but my boyfriend recently heard such a thing is a sign of cancer cells, is this true?

Thanks,
Jessica

I get those too once in awhile, I think as you get older its just your hormones changing. Now I've heard that you should never pluck hairs growing out of moles or raised skin lesions since that can cause cancer, but getting a "hag hair" thats what I call them, once in awhile isn't a major deal. I get one on the bottom of my chin, and there is one on my breast from time to time and I just pluck them.
