along with a stuffy nose, my voice sounds different too...Can this be allergy related? Never had this before,(I have lived most of the time in Michigan) but have spent the last 5 years in Las Vegas..Any Ideas???I did have a cold (I thought) a few weeks ago. And this (throat clearing, voice change) stayed for this whole time.. The stuffy nose also...Help!!

It sounds like possibly post nasal drip which can definitely be allergy related. Please be careful with frequent throat clearing. It can irritate your vocal cords causing more problems and also cause a sore throat.
My allergist has instructed me to have a bottle of water with me at all times, and if I feel like I need to clear my throat- then take a drink of water which will usually eliminate the need to clear my throat.
If you are seeing a physician- they might suggest some type of nasal allergy spray. I use Flonase which helps greatly. Sinus rinses are also a great preventative thing to do.
