I get large red marks all over my body at random that are sometimes itchy and sometimes not. I've had this for at least a year now. It mostly flares up when I go to sleep and can never get more than 4-6 hours of sleep. I go to sleep itching like crazy and wake up itching like crazy. If I rub my skin hard enough, they turn into huge welts, even sometimes just lightly touching my skin. The only things that help me are Antihistamines. Any help would be extremely appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have something similar to this, it's called Dermatagraphia. Anywhere my skin itches I turn red and if I scratch by body looks like the scratch marks. Try taking your fingernail and drawing a W. If you have this within minutes you will have a red mark in that shape. I'm on benadryl, atarax, and Zantac. The allergy doc said zantac is an h2 histamine blocker.
I've been dealing with this since December.

Yeah, I saw a Dermatologist (a specialist) and he told me it was Dermagraphitis or something, same thing you referred to it as it seems. I can scratch myself with my fingernail and after about 30 seconds, it turns into a red mark that comes up as a welt. I've been using Benadryl, but I'm sick and tired of having to take Antihistamines. There must be something to get rid of this condition.
