Its now been four weeks since my operation, (complete hysterectomy), and the pain and discomfort is driving me up a wall. The doctor a week after the surgery put me on a very low dose of Premarin, as the hot flashes were literally waking me up 3-4 times a night, PLUS I had terrible headaches.
I'm not supposed to go back to the doctor until the 25th of this month, surgery was March 21st.
These are my "Problems". 1. I STILL am getting those LOVELY (not) flashes every day and night. 2. The pain is still there and my tummy at times actually feels as though it is "burning". 3. When I'm in bed, if its not the flashes waking me up, all of a sudden my hands and feet are itchy as hell! It is NOT dry skin either, the itch will literally wake me up out of my sleep.
Finally, will any of this go away? And PLEASE don't tell me it will take years either? I'm so sick of feeling so dreadful! Thanks for listening. Jillian
