I'm switching from Alesse to Yasmin birth control. Is anyone on Yasmin? Did you gain weight? I've been on Ortho-Tri and Alesse and on both I gained weight! I know Yasmin has a diuretic in it...so I just wanted to get other opinions before I start Yasmin. I don't want to gain any more weight!

I've been on Yasmin about 3 years i haven't lost any wieght i actually thinks it's helped in my gaining wieght (not a good thing)

As I've said before, ALL forms of birth control can cause weight gain. You won't know how it will affect you until you try it.

Yeah I gained on yasmin as well. I took it for only 6 months and switched due to insurance converage 2 years ago. I know they have issues with Yasmin and your potassium levels. I would speak to your Dr. about that to be sure.

I also gained weight on Yasmin. I am on mircette now and love it. I helps with headaches which I get. But I switched off a yasim after a few months.

I was on yasmin for a month and noticed my clothes getting tighter and the scale showed I gained a few pounds. I am not taking the second pack due to this.
