Hello everyone, i am a 42 year old lady that has been having a rough time these past 3 months.
I have been hurting in my upper right shoulder and neck and down my back for the past few months. I had to go to chirpractor for my pain and was going to him for 8 weeks, well he kept saying i would get better in a few days,He said i had 5 pinched nerves and was shown on x ray, well i just tired of him telling me that, so i quit going there while i was seeing him i was out of work , he wrote me out because i could not do the work that i had dome for 5 years.well since he didn't do me any good, i went to my family doctor and they took x rays of my back and the showed i have scoliosos. Now he referred me to go to a spine specialist May 18. All this time i have been on Short term disabailty, but do you think i should go sign up for social security disabailty ? I am getting worried about my bills, I am a single lady out here. Thanks so much !

Well I don't know about the disability, but sounds like you are on the right track going to a spinal specialist. You really need a MRI to find out what is going on. I would not go back to a Chiro til you know more, it could make things worse.

You sound like you are in pain. If you pain is due to an injury onthe job, then you should be getting workers comp. If it is not, you should pursue SS disability. Good luck.

I think you should sign up for SSD since your not sure of the outcome or if you'll be able to go back to work of maybe wait to see what the specialist says. Did you get hurt at work-were you doing some competitive work that could of brought this on. Gee I hope you get some answers and feel better soon, and don't be ashamed to sign up for disability if you need to.
