Hi... thought I'd share what my gyno said at the annual exam the other day. I told her it seemed like I was starting to feel a bit better after several months of feeling like one case of the flu after another... she said it's not unusual, "some women get a reprieve during the first year." She told me last October, based on test results and symptoms she thought I had two years left until I'm done. Sigh... seems like forever. And I'm hoping she's wrong. I'm hoping nothing will happen for another 6 months and I'll be done. One thing for sure, that speculum hurt like the bejeezers and that has NEVER happened before. She said it's from the loss of estrogen in that area. Even tho I still have plenty of natural lubrication, it still hurt.
Has anyone else experienced the "reprieve"-? And if so, when the reprieve is over, do symptoms come back with a vengance? Just morbidly curious, I guess.
