I am currently on seroquel 50-75mg day and it works great, but I experience a rapid heart beat whenever I stand for like 8- 12 hrs after I have taken it, none of the benzos helped me sleep. I take lithium as a mood stablizer. I have also tried ambien, which didn't work. Can anyone tell me if they know of any mood stablizers for bipolar like depakote or any other that work great for insonmia, instead of depending on a anti-pschyotic like seroquel and worrying about devolping tarskive or NMS(which is my biggest fear)

The lithium doesnt hel me sleep, just my mood swings. The seroquel does help me sleep like a baby on a mild dose 50-75mg day. I am also thinking about talking to the doctor about the newest sleep medicine Lunesta, I have heard lots of positive reports about it, check their website out, if you are having trouble sleeping
