I'm an 18 year old boy and my problem is that i used to shave the back of my neck with a razor( meaning my neck ) and dont ask why,and it is the stupidest thing i have ever done. Now the hair grows back faster, thicker and more rapidly then the rest of my hair. i was wondering if there is any product out there that i can use to make my hair soft again ao it does not grow so fast.
thanx

Shaving has absolutely NO effect on how fast the hair grows. NO effect.
When you shave, the hair is cut bluntly therefore it looks and feels like it's thicker. As well, hair grows daily, so if you cut it at the skin level, it will have growth that's noticable the within a day or two.
As well, you're only 18. Your hormone levels will constantly be changing. Hair growth in the male can continue for a lifetime. Maybe you're one where the hair on the back of the neck will be a lot...no amount of shaving or depilatory will change that.
But, if you're wanting to have the growth appear less...continual waxing can actually fatigue some of the follicles and eventually stop producing a hair. As well, the hair grows out tapered, not bluntly cut, and will not be as noticable.
If the hair there is bothering you a lot...then you might consider electrolisis. I don't know how much of hair in that area is hormone driven tho.
Shaving has not changed the hair growth speed...please remember that you didn't do anything "stupid".
you have a few options....seek them out and see what will work better for you.

Your age caused this, it would have happened whether you shaved or not.
If the hair is dark, laser hair removal is an option. If not dark, electrolysis is an option.
