Yes, I do. It is awful first of all. I had severe symptoms about 5 years ago. I was always a person with severe cramps, clots etc. Well, I got my period, and the second day which is the heaviest, my period stopped right in the middle of all of that and the pain, fever, nausea, was so severe. Then the next day it all eased up, skip to the next month and it all happened again, worse than ever. When to gyno, and had a pelvic in the middle of my period(ugh!!) and he said I had severe endometriosis just by the feel of my insides. They were all knotted up and ropey. So I started to take bcp for a year straight. NO periods for that time but I would have days on end of this brown/thick discharge that was horrendous. After a year I went off of the pill, and my periods were ok. Dr said it put me in a remission but it might come back, might not, so far so good. Its been five years now and I still have horrid cramping, clots, heavy flow for a few days and also a typical sign that I hear is common is a lot of cramping throughout the month in pelvic area. Hope this helps you out a little.

Jacq,
I had a horrible backache with my endo. It was in my lower back and would go down my legs. Even if I wasn't having the pelvic pain I had the backache. I went to the chiropracter for a few months with no relief. Finally I was dx with the endo, my Dr told me the backpain was from the endo. I actually doubted the Dr cause I couldn't see how it could cause my back to hurt so bad. But after going on lupron my back pain was gone. I ended up having a total hysterectomy..

Oh yes, back pain, pelvic pain. Actually endo can cause alot more than that as it can travel outside the uterus and attach to any internal organ causing a multitude of problems.

Hi,
I have been reading this thread in particular for a friend I know. She is wondering , does endometriosis diminish with menopause? She has not seemed to find that in any of what she is researching. I thought it did.
Thanks,
rmc

I had my endomertrial biopsy done yesterday. Hurt like the dickens. He had to put, as he called it, pinchers on my cervix. Makes you want to cross your legs doesn't it? I will know the results in 2 weeks.
