COULD you pleose help me
i am 48 year old and i went through early menopause at 37years
i have had no real problems except i had a bone density test that showed the very beginnings of osteoporosis it has not gotten any worse over the years...my problem is i suffer anxiety and panic attackes and phobias one being from sideaffects of tablets and injections...so i cant take hormone replacement or other meds that would help me
i was wondering if you could suggest some foods that could help or even some excercises that could build bone density back up
i walk 9 miles a night but i still suffer tight hamstrings and thigh and knee problems also my feet lately have been hurting...but i think thats from the way i sit cross legged i cant seem to sit normally on a chair i feel uncomfortable unless im sitting with legs up to my chest or cross legged yoga position
why would my muscles be aching and stiff?is it old age or lack of hormones?shouldn't walking be helping my legs or is there something else i should be doing? any help would be appreciated

I have the same pains as you...I was diagnosed with Lyme disease...I really don't know what to think..I believe it to be hormone related as well..my practitioner is going to an international seminar this summer on Hormone related problems; says he should be able to help me further after that time! I'm hoping so..cuz this intermittent "roaming" pain is irritating to say the least!

Hi,
You might want to try taking some calcium and magnesium, calcium for the bones and magnesium for your muscles, and nerves. When we get older our need for calcium and magnesium increases, what we got from food or supplements when we were younger is now not enough. When I was in my thirty's I took 500/250 cal/mag, then I needed to go up to 1000/500 cal/mag, now I am at 1000/1000 cal/mag. and barely holding my own. I also take vitamn D because it helps the body utilize the cal/mag.

A lack of magnesium can play havoc with your whole system, it can cause insomnia, heart palpitations, coldness, internal shakes, tight hamstrings and muscles, muscle contractions in feet, legs, fingers, arms etc. and if low enough seizures, and outer shaking just to name a few.
Bell. :)

Angel,
Have you explained all your symptoms to your doctors? With a simple blood test, they can determine if you have Lymes or a Thyroid disorder. I was finally diagnosed as hypothyroid last year and taking the meds has made all the difference in the world. I no longer suffer from anxiety, panic, or OCD anymore. Plus a wide array of varying symptoms including muscle and joint pain that have resolved with this diagnosis. All I take is my thyroid meds and that's it. Wouldn't hurt to have them check it out.
