Razzy_Berry 04-03-2005, 06:08 PM what tests reveal adrenal fatigue? thanks ChristyE 04-04-2005, 12:53 PM Hi! One thing that is important to check is your cortisol levels. There's debate about whether blood or saliva testing is more reliable. A great book to read that would give you more information about adrenal fatigue and testing for adrenal fatigue is Adrenal Fatigue: The 21st Century Stress Syndrome by Dr. James Wilson. This would be a good place to start. :) Christy orion 04-10-2005, 12:28 PM what tests reveal adrenal fatigue? thanks You can't diagnose adrenal fatigue with blood tests. However taking several blood tests that consistently show low cortisol is an indicator. Unfortunately cortisol output is very erratic even in perfectly healthy people so a few tests of low cortisol mean nothing. Another indicator is a consistent big drop in blood pressure upon standing up. Symptoms include but might be contradictory: fatigue, weightloss/gain, burst of energy followed by real lows, skin darkening, brain fog and concentration problems. |
