On halloween i got pretty angry and punched a cement wall a couple times. i went to the doctor they took exrays and told me nothing was wrong, just to ice it and it will go away. well now it is april the swelling has gone down, but is still somewhat swollen. my middle and pointer finger still hurt when i try to do movements, like craking my knuckles and the both have lateral pain also, like when moving side to side. i dont know what is wrong with my hand and cant find anything on the net that describes the pain i have. i dont currently have medical insurance and cannot afford another doctors visit until i have insurance. Does anyone out there possibly know what could be wrong with my fingers?? could it be that i tore the tendons?? if someone could tell me MAYBE what i have it would be a great help until i can go to the doctor. thank you for taking the time to read this

It might be possible you had crack in the bone but didn't show up on the xray.

Sometimes small fractures are not easily seen on initial x-rays. Only after a couple of weeks, when your body starts to lay down new bone are they evident. This far after a fracture, it would probably have healed anyway. In terms of tendon injury, a full tear of a tendon would result in loss of active range of motion- in other words you can passively move the joints in your fingers but not move them using the muscles in your arm. Otherwise, you may have stressed or torn ligaments around your knuckles. Again, this far out of the injury, there is not much to be done unless you are unstable at your mcp joints (knuckles). Another possiblility is that due to pain after the injury, you didn't move through normal ranges, and have developed some joint stiffness (which can be painful). Follow up with a hand specialist when you can to get properly diagnosed. Ice and elevate for swelling.

thank you for your help.... i am going to go to a specialist soon. i am not sure whats happened but it may drastically effect the chances of my sucess when i try to be a paramedic... SO i am going very soon. Thank you again for you help.
