View Full Version : I Tried Dermablend Makeup

I finally ordered Dermablend Makeup and I absolutely love it! I was VERY skeptical about using another meakeup because I've been using Merle Norman makeup for almost 20 years. That's a long time and I wasn't sure I wanted to try anything else, but I'm glad I did. I thought it would be hard to apply, but it went on easy after I mixed it in my palm. I have freckles, so I usually have to go over them twice with Merle Norman. I only had to go over them once with Dermablend.

I decided to try it out before I went to a birthday party on Saturday. I asked my daughter how I looked before I walked out the door because she is known to tell the truth, LOL. She said I looked great, so I was on my way. No One knew that I had switched make up. When I got there I had so many compliments, I was beside myself. I even got two compliments at my drug store later that night, lol. I was extremely happy indeed. Of course, who wouldn't be.

The makeup is thick, but that's how I've always worn makeup. The good thing about it though is that it doesn't feel thick and my daughter even told me that it looked like I barely had any on. That shocked me because I'm the makeup queen, hehehe.

Anyway, I know all makeup looks different on different people, but I just wanted to say something positive about Dermablend because I remember someone here asking about it.

Thank you:) DermaBlend is a good cover-up makeup. It's waterproof and it's good at covering up scars, freckles, birthmarks, etc. Just to let you know. I posted about it because myself and others here had asked about a good cover-up makeup and I just wanted others to know I had tried it and liked it.

Hi Chantel,
I don't know where you are from, but I am in the Boston area and they now sell Dermablend in CVS pharmacy stores and I know they also sell it at Macys department stores, as you mentioned you ordered it. Just a thought.

Oh really? I didn't know this! There is a CVS pharmacy here where I live. I deal with Walgreens, so I guess that's why I never saw it. Do you remember how much it cost? If it is cheaper than ordering it online, then I will buy it at CVS. Thanks so much for the info:)

Ohmigod..thats soo awesome! Because i read your article i decided to do some research on my own about Dermablend..and whoa..i was totally lost..they had so many things to choose from..it totally confused me. Theres: Cover cream, leg&body cover, quickfix concealer, loose setting powder, facial cleanser, wrinkle fix, reflections & bronzer..i think you can see why im confused..lol. Like so many different things to choose from... Ummz im quite interested in DermaBlend..that it actually fades freckles.

Hi there:)

If you are looking for a "base", you would need to choose the "Cover Cream" and you also need the "Loose setting powder" to make it waterproof and smear proof. You have to look through the Cover Cream colors and select which one you want. The powder comes in a transparent color so you don't have to pick anything there.

DermaBlend doesn't fade freckles. It just covers them up. I'm sorry if you got that impression:( I myself am still new to it too and I can just tell you what my experience with it was. I hope yours is the same.

Good luck and I hope you like it:)

I'm gonna look and compare prices too. I hope they have the color I use. That would be great! Good luck!

P.S.- If you do get it, read my first post on how to apply it.
