Hi I had SCFE in both hips 2 ops of Left hip and 1 on the right in 1971 at the age of 12, in those days it was 3 pins and a bolt in both hips I had the pins removed at age 17.
Now at 45 both acetabulum's (sockets) are heavily eroded,and I am looking at Hip Replacements not something I am keen on, after all the hip surgery. Is there anyone who has had SCFE and then ended up with hip replacements later in life, if so, would love to talk to you with regards to this. I am wondering if SCFE also leads to Hip replacements later in life.
