well i have seen a orthopedic doc and i cant understand why even tho he has read my MRI results and knows of the disks involved he still says that im not a candidate for surgery..what i dont understand that is if there is a section that is cord flattening... why would i not be eligible?? wouldnt that be the only way to fix the problem?? or does those things jsut heal with time?? i have had a epidural shot and today i receive my second one...but doesnt seem to do any good or does it take more then one?? im in constant pain from the neck to the mid section of my back and my shoulders to my elbows with numbness at times and chest pain alot...am i jsut seeing the wrong doctor?????????

I have had a series of 3 ESI for the C6-7 and recieved some relief but it only lasted 2 or 3 days. My brother on the other hand got more relief each time and after the 3rd shot had complete pain relief. Although he still has a stiff neck sometimes and symptoms of disc compression still but no pain. This has lasted him for 5 years or better.
