Hello everyone, this is my first post to the board. There is going to be a lot of info here but I really need someones opinion.
I have recently been having health issues including numbness in my face, ringing in my ears and lightheadedness. I saw my doctor about these issues and I was givin a "non-contrast" cat scan which showed up negative. My doctor concluded that the numbness is being caused by a trigger point in my back. He gave me some excersives to do and suggested I see a chiropracter. Well in doing the excersises I noticed a pea sized lump in the back of my neck. It is firm and painless. Its been whith me for about 3 weeks. I saw my doctor again and he felt around in my neck and said it was nothing. He said it "should be there" and sometimes a lymph node will come out from under a muscle and feel like that. Is he feeding me a line? Im worried he may have me pegged as a hypo, and possibly not taking me seriously. Anyone have nay ideas? Could this lump be nothing?

I have alittle more info I would like to add into my previous post. The lump changes size somedays it feels large and is very noticable and somedays its difficult to find. Does this indicate anything?

I have the same thing. My doctor says it is an occipital lymph node. She said some people can just feel theirs. Sometimes, also, depending on how I am laying or how I have my neck turned, it may stick out more. She said that it is nothing at all to worry about. Mine also seems bigger some days than others especially if I touch it a lot.

That really helps put some of my worries to ease. I did however make an appointment with an ENT though just to be sure. I have other strange symptons I would like to investigate.
Do you ever have any pain in your neck? or a soreness stiffness? Ive also had a long standing issue with ringing in my right ear and numbness in my face. Recently has been accompanied by headaches..
