Has anybody on here takin Yasmine and experienced chest pains or panic and anxiety or depression??? I just started my second pack and I just called my doctor to get switched to Ovcon 35. I took it years ago off and on...and I don't remember experiencing anything like this.

Any suggestions???

Is anyone currently on Ovcon 35???

Although I don't take Yasmin, those symptoms can occur.

It seems unlikely to me that BC pills would cause a mental disorder like anxiety. Personally, I've been taking Yasmin ever since it came on the market & it's given me no probs at all. I do suffer from anxiety, but I always have, the BC doesn't do anything to provoke it. Anxiety & chest pains commonly go hand-in-hand. It's unlikely to be related to the pill. *However* as you probably know, if you are 35 or older or you smoke, you do have a greater chance of cardiovascular defects from oral contraceptives.

I'd talk to a doctor if I were you. The chest pains you experienced are more likely the manifestation of an anxiety disorder or a panic attack than a dirrect effect of the pill.

Actually, anxiety can be a side-effect of BC pills. I had a horrible experiance on Ortho 777, and had to get off of it. The anxiety was unbearable, I was up all night wanting to go to the Emergency Room. I just could not get a clear thought in my head. Any fluctuations in hormone levels could potentially cause anxiety because your body can tell something is "different" and your mind can run wild...

Thank you....
I have stopped the Yasmin. I called the pharmacy and they said to stop it immediately. So I did. That pill was not good for me at all. I have really not felt well on it from the beginning.
