I take care of my dad, who is diabetic type 2. He is letting his health go. He is only 51 years old, has part of his leg amputated, needs help doing everything. overweight, VERY depressed, understandibly. diarrehea. The works. If I leave him alone for an hour, when I come back it's worse then if I didn't leave. He hasn't been paying his bills, I can't live his life and mine. I am 24 years old and am about to start a new career. What should I do. I am hiring a caregiver but they are so expensive and right now I can only afford one for four hours a day, three times a week. I am seriously going crazy, it hurts. I space out alot, lose focus, forget things. I neeed help!!!

Is there any visting Nurses that can be sent to help him, ask his doctor to help you get the help he needs.

ask your father's Dr. about getting your father on home hospice. The nurses come to the home and they have volenteers that will come and sit with your dad so that you can go out and do the things you need to do.
