My husband was diagnosed with liver cancer recently and will need a lot of care during the treatments. I'm pregnant and have to work to keep us in insurance, but he doesn't want anyone else to take care of him. Is there anyone out there in this situation or anyone that knows what I can do to accomodate my husband, my career and myself.

Dana,
Although I am not in your situation, I care for my mother in law who has Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. You NEED help! I work full time and do not have kids but I coulnt do it without my husbands help and home health care and daycare. I am so sorry about your husbands illness but it will be essential to you, your husband, your child, and your marraige for you to get help with his caregiving. Hope this helps! You are in my prayers!!!!!

Dear Bridget,
Thank you for your prayers. My sister has answered my plea for help and is now taking care of Walt during the day while I work. In a few months, I will have to leave anyway to have my baby. His treatments have only begun earlier this week and all ready he is in so much pain and is so weak that moving him in the bed is a two person task. It feels nice just to get this out. I don't want him to know how scared or worried I am. I fear that will only hinder his recovery.
