There are many problems with break through bleeding and spotting just because you are only getting a period 4 times a year. I much rather get a monthly period when I know when its coming than to have to hassle with never knowing when I am going to have to experience break through bleeding. That is just my opinion of this pill. frustrated35 04-06-2005, 06:00 PM I'm not on Seasonale, but do the Seasonale method. I have only 4 periods per year and have not had any breakthrough bleeding. I've had no side effects and have been doing this for 2 years. I am able to do this with my regular bc pill (Loestrin FE 1.5/30's. Just make sure you talk to your gyno to see if you are able to do this so they can make sure they give you enough refills. You'll need to take 4 packets (12 weeks worth of pills). I hated starting every month and it has reduced my migranes, back problems, acne during that time. But this isn't right for everyone. Everyone's bodies are different. Check with your doctor. I did post a thread asking if anyone else did what I do and asked about the long term side effects, but no replys. My gyno will not put me on the Seasonale pill because of all the side effects. So, this was the next best thing and works for me. Rms11 04-06-2005, 11:29 PM Most Doctors have said there is no real harm in skipping your periods, so as long as your doc says its okay for you frustrated35, then I say go for it :) |
