I want to thank all of you who gave me such good advice over the months about the care of my mother. It's been awhile since I came here. My mother passed away on the 25th of August.
No matter how much you think you are prepared for it, and no matter how much you might even know in your heart that it's for the best, it is a shocking experience. Maybe not at the moment so much, but later when everything is so quiet and the memories flow.
I pray that God is with each and everyone of you who are taking on this awesome and hard responsibility of caring for an ill loved one. May he keep you strong!!
This is the first time in 28 years that my husband and I have been alone.. Just the two of us.. It can be annoyingly quiet! We find ourselves drawn more than ever to our children and their children.. We need the noise of "life"! It is such a wonderful thing.
May all of you live it in abundance! God bless.
All my love, Laura
