a friend recommended Oil of Oregano for inflamation. I decided to try it myself to see if it actually worked. you can buy it in liquid or capsul form. I'm using the liquid form, it's $30 for a one ounce bottle but you only use 1-2 drops at a time. it works so much better than naproxen. I haven't noticed any pain relief, but have been told you can apply it topically. the downside to taking it orally is that you need to drink something strong (like a soda) to get the taste out of your mouth and then you smell like oregano for about an hour. and no, I do not sell the stuff. it took some searching but i was finally able to find it.

I have a hyersensitive nerve in my hand and that dont even touch the problems with my left hand. And the Dr's say short of changing my job I am SOL nice huh?? Any help would be great.

I found it at a health food store. the one place i did NOT find it was in the health food area of Fred Meyer which really suprised me. just keep searching, eventually you'll find it. I've been trying applying it to my wrists and rubbing it in to see if it will help reduce pain. no luck yet, but i'll keep trying for a while.
today i spent about an hour trying to find a neurologist that will accept L&I cases. if I see one that does not accept it then i have to pay out of pocket- the average price seems to be $275 for the initial visit http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/frown.gif
I noticed that you live in Washington state too. at this point i'm ready to try accupuncture or anything that will reduce the pain and allow me to do normal everyday living activities. just dealing with my employer and their insurance company has given me anxiety attacks and depression, non of which is being covered by my employer yet. it's going to take a lawyer to get reimbursed for all that. this friday i'm seeing a pain management person but he doesn't do the full program, for that i'd have to drive to Seattle. am still waiting for my employer to approve aa neurologist and pain management clinic. since my dr disagrees with the independant medical examiners (that "exam" was a complete joke! I was basically told to shut up and that he was in charge).

Tammy,
forgot to warn you to not drink water right after you've taken the liquid oil of oregano. all the water will do is make your mouth hotter (like biting into a jalepeno). and don't use more than the directions say to use. my hubby tried it for the first time tonight and instead of taking one or two drops he took about 1/4 of a small eye dropper full. he found that drinking milk helped with the heat.
