Has anyone had a Bone Scan of the hands? My treating Dr. schedule one for me since I still have alot of pain in both my hands. What is the Scan supposet to look for?

Well I had to have one of my foot. and they did my entire body while I was there. I thought for me it was an incredible waste of time since I had a stress fracture that was healing. But hopefully yours will show something.

It looks for fractures and other problems that are not easily visible with xrays. I had to go in the morning for the first scan and then in the afternoon after I had dye injected for the second scan. This way they can see any problems.

It is painless.
