Breezee 01-30-2001, 08:33 PM You could have strained your elbow while favoring your wrist. Try using a brace for Tennis Elbow for a while. I developed the same thing & have to wear my brace on & off, it works pretty well. As for the Carple Tunnel...I've had 8 surgeries on my right hand/arm and one on my left. I will have nerve pain in my wrist/hand/arm for the rest of my life. I do hope you have a much better experience than I did. ------------------ The Breezee Blonde southpawmom 02-18-2001, 11:40 AM CT can cause elbow pain, but you could also have a problem with the tendons in elbow. It took 3 years for Dr to realize pain wasn't CT it was a torn tendon. After surgery all is almost completely well 1 year later. I hve CT in both hands and now having same problem with other hand. torn tendon hasn't been ruled out either. If you can gt a TENS unit it helps manage pain but, tennis elbow band is the way to go. Also make sure not to wear a watch on the hurting arm or push your sleeves up this aggrivates elbow. windinhair 02-23-2001, 09:08 PM Hello, I have numbing in both my hands followed by pain. Now in one of my arms my elbow is very painfull sometimes it goes right up to my shoulder.I have been taking antinflamitory for about 4 months now but it has only gotten worse.I have tryed heat, brace, wraps I just dont know what else to do. Can any one help?Has any one had this happen to them? Thanks rands 02-24-2001, 09:54 AM Have you ever tried a magnetic wrist wrap. I'm not talking about the ones you see at the drug store, but the ones that the whole material is a magnet. These things are absolutly incredible and the best thing is you don't have to have any kind of medical (operative or chemical) treatment to go with them. The Japanese have been using them for years for the same kind of problems your having with great results. If your tired of the discomfort your having I'd say don't wait! Good luck. ------------------ windinhair 02-24-2001, 10:39 AM Thank You Is this wrap just for the wrist? What about the elbow,I am having so much pain in it.Where will i find the wraps?Thank You again. ------------------ JB* 02-24-2001, 12:22 PM Have you read my post below on Non invasive treatment for carpal tunnel? You may have some pinched nerves in your neck also. Have you seen a chiropractor yet? Find one who knows Active Release therapy too. You may need both an adjustment and ART. Good luck. windinhair 02-26-2001, 07:36 AM Thank You I will try any thing right now. I am so tired of the pain.I want to do things and the pain & numbing just puts a damper on it all. ------------------ Mattsmummum 03-15-2001, 09:38 PM I have a chiropractor working on me right now for elbow pain. It is definitely in my tendons, but I have inflammation on C8, which is the same as for CT. I have already noticed improvement with his working on my neck area and arm. I'm a great believer in chiropractors, just wish I would have known do go to one years ago. |
