If you check the resource links below, I have posted a couple to sites that will give you information on Active Release Therapy for carpal tunnel. It is a type of "massage" that loosens the fascia of the muscles so they slide over each other better and thus release the nerve that gets trapped. (very simplified) Works for carpal tunnel, elbows, necks etc. etc. etc. Has been used in sports medicine for 10 years or so and has now been made "public" so to speak, for us regular guys. 1-6 visits to the Dr. ( whomever you find, my chiropractor does it) should do it.
Search on search engines for Dr. Leahy, carpal tunnel. Carpal tunnel is also a symptom of a thyroid problem. If you have other symptoms, like fatique, depression, achy joints, check the thyroid board here also. Hope this helps. Surgery is the last thing you want to do.
