I want to know if anyone has ever been diagnosed with Fibrolipomatosis on the median nerve. I have been diagnosed with this in both hands. The left much worse than the right. I have had pain for the last eight years and was told it was Carpal Tunnel. I had the surgery and still had pain. The doctor thought that I was trying to stay off work and had it with me. I did test after test after test. My wrists and forearms are really sore and now the pain has travelled up to my shoulder. There are times when I sit at home and cry because Im 32 years old and wonder where I will be 10 years from now. My children (aged 8 and 5) cant understand why mommy cant lift them up, play basketball or baseball etc.
Finally I was sent to a doctor who did an MRI and diagnosed me with Fibrolipomatosis. The problem is that I cant get any information on this since it is listed in the Rare Diseases section and I cant get any information on this in the arms and wrists. Im at my wits end and I am hoping that the dignosis is incorrect because I just want to know what is going to happen to me!
