Well, if she's not experiencing pain in her ear, then the odds are it isn't a busted ear drum. Maybe her ear is simply clogged from an undetected sinus infection or cold. No one can tell you for sure but her doctor or preferably and ENT specialist, but it's probably a conductive hearing loss that can be treated and her hearing returned. She should visit the doctor and have them check it out. Good luck and I hope she feels better!

THANK YOU ,SHADEMEJAZ!Mom is on the way of recovering, she is feeling a little bit anxiously , cuz she worries pretty much whether she could get a total recovery as used to be. I don't think her bad mood could contribute to her recovery.
How could I keep her away from this bad mood?

You're welcome. I hope you're mother is feeling better! Well, a bad mood can effect health. Maybe try to get her doing something she enjoys but can do while recovering. Like reading, writing, playing games. Little things can sometimes help a lot.

Thanks for your suggestion,ShademeJaz! Mom is regaining her hear through therapy little by little. Furthermore , it is said that the first four days after losing one's hearing is the best recovery peroid , I just wanna know ,is that ture for every patient who lost hearing? And , how should we make best use of the time in therapy?
